Birdexcursions In Greece

I decided to finally visit the Rafina stream in order to see what sort of birds would I encounter.

Little egrets (Egretta garzetta)

Κάτι στις φωτογραφείς Αλκυόνων δεν με ικανοποιεί. Ίσως το οτι πάντα δείχνουν να στέκονται σε μέρη με πολύπλοκο φόντο έχει να κάτι να κάνει με αυτό.

Something about the photos of Kingfishers (Alcedo atthis)  always seem to leave something more to be desired. Perhaps the way they seem to sit in places with busy backgrounds might have something to do with it.

Μια καρακάξα πετούσε με κάποιο καρπό στο στόμα και μια σταχτοσουσουράδα κάθεται στα ρηχά νερά.

A magpie (Pica pica) was flying with a seed of sorts in its mouth and a grey wagtail (Motacilla cinerea) is standing in the shallow water.

As I had not had my fill of animals that day, I decided to visit again the Attica Zoological Park that is close to Rafina .

Αυτή τη φορά επιτέλους είδα τα δελφίνια του Αττικού Πάρκου. Οι αλτικές τους ικανότητες είναι απίστευτες. Αλλά μάλλον χρειαζότανε ένας φακός με μικρότερο εστιακό μήκος από 200χιλ.

This time I finally saw the dolphins of the Attica park. Their jumping ability is unbelievable. However I should had probably used a lens with a smaller focal length than 200mm.
